I went to 9:20 Swing last Thursday--my first time there. The class was great, and it reinforced my knowledge of the lindy swingout.  The turnout for the actual dance was really good. I'm not really counting, but it felt good to start off the New Year with a nice first week.  Had a wonderful Xmas and New Year with my parents.  As usual, we had hot pot a couple of times and also celebrated my mom's birthday.  Spending time at home felt a little bit like a retreat from the computer and internet, which is very refreshing ( ( Read more... )

I saw Footlight Parade this weekend and was blown away by it. It was so good. I couldn't believe the references they made in the movie. I felt like the writer and choreographer of this film were really advanced at the time ( Read more... )

Bf is leaving next weekend :-(  Very sad.  We have been trying to spend as much time as possible before he leaves for the east coast.  We were supposed to return his friend's car this weekend, but his friend is in Las Vegas and probably won't make it back in time to get his car, so more time for us to use it for groceries and stuff ( Read more... )

I finally got around to seeing Borat on DVD last weekend.  I didn't care to watch it before, thinking it is probably some obnoxious over-the-top film, but I actually quite like it, minus a couple of disgusting scenes.  I was laughing pretty hard during some parts of the "documentary".
