1) Had a 3-hour yoga workshop last Sunday with my yoga teacher and 7 others. It was a nice small group where we could get to know each other better and also work on the asanas in more detail. Being in the presence of my yoga teacher is just wonderful. She is a really radiant and natural person that you couldn't help but feel comfortable around her. I would love to go to another one of these workshops. My downward facing dog is also getting better! (not slippery during the workshop...surprising)
2) Finished my beginner's lindy hop class at Cat's Corner on Thursday. The last class was sooo great! The female teacher taught us how to spin during the swingout with this spin/cross-over step technique taught by Al Minns and Frankie Manning. It was sooo much smoother going into the swingout! I am going to continue testing it out on Lindy on Sproul and other venues. Starting next week in March, 9:20 on Thursday evenings to learn more lindy styling and footwork. Looking forward to it!
