MLK JR celebration
This is a short week... three days and two teacher workdays this week. =) Two of those days will be dedicated to the honor and reflection of Martin Luther King Jr., the Civil Rights Movement, and the amazing literature that stemmed from this great movement that has still not fully bloomed into fruition yet. I could teach this poetry and movement for an entire year... it was my favorite class in college, but I'll settle for two days in a classroom with kids who are still familiar with the wizards of the KKK because they live with them. This county does not give the day off for MLK Jr. ... so I'll take the day to work on it myself. I'M AMPED!!
