So, I've got some news!
I checked my e-mail earlier to find a new message from Yuki, my pen-pal in Japan, and apparently...
SHE'S COMING TO VISIT ME ON MARCH 15th! XD OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!
I know that she's been telling me for a long time that she'll be saving up some extra money to visit, but... wow. It's so weird now that I know the actual date! She'll be staying until the 21st, and I'm sure that most of her time here in Texas will be spent with me. I think that she's coming by herself, and to help her save money on hotel rooms (as well as be a guide for her) I offered to let her stay with my family. It'll probably end up being like when Mel visited, and we stayed with my grandparents, because their house is bigger and they have plenty of guest rooms. X3 Eeee, I can't wait!
Despite how excited I am about this, I have to admit that I'm also a bit nervous... because I can't speak Japanese worth a flip. (Thank God I've got a huge English-to-Japanese/Japanese-to-English dictionary, though!) Yuki has told me before that she can speak a little bit of English, and I don't doubt that because she's in college now and has been studying different languages for a long time. Plus, it's obvious to me, simply by reading her letters, that she's very smart. She can also write well, so if all else fails then we can just write notes to each other if things get too confusing, lol.
Okay, so... apart from that little problem, there's one more that's had me thinking--what on earth are we going to do the whole time? XD My town is so small and boring! I know that everything will be interesting to her at first, but trust me, you can only take so much of my little town. This didn't bother me quite as much when Melissa came because they actually rented a car to travel around with, and we did tons of fun things. With Yuki coming, it'll probably be up to me to figure out what we can do.
I know that my family will really be able to help, and if my mom is able to get off of work during the time that she'll be here, then I won't be worried. She'll be able to drive us to some cities that aren't too far away so that I can take her to some malls, and stuff like that. My grandparents also seem to be interested in it--they know that I've been pen-pals with her for over 4 years now, so they'll do all that they can to make it special, like when Melissa visited. Now that I think about it, I shouldn't stress over everything so much... I know that it'll all work out the way that it's supposed to in the end. I am looking forward to this so much, because she's been a great friend to me all of these years. :3 We've exchanged so much information and know all about each other, so I'm sure that it'll be like it was when Melissa visited--I just wish that she could be here when she comes, too!
Anyway, apart from that, I don't have much else to report today. One thing that I've been busy with is creating some Harvest Moon characters for an RP idea that someone over at the harvest_moon community came up with. Everyone who joins in will be able to submit their own original ideas, and we're going to come up with our own town, characters, and everything else. It sounds awesome, because I've been really interested in writing a story about Harvest Moon lately. Now I (sort of) have a chance to!
I've come up with about 16 characters so far, but have only had time to draw about 6 of them. I made the decision when I first started that I'd like to name each one, with the exception of a few, after a friend of mine--and so far, it's worked out perfectly! I think that all of the names have suited each character really well. Here are a few of the ones that I've come up with:
(Potential names are in parenthesis, but nothing's been finalized yet. XD; If you don't see yours here then don't worry... I still have plenty of other characters that I simply haven't had the time to draw!)

Waitress (Abigail)

I'll post the others later, as well as the finalized list of names. I'm planning to finish some more of them tonight! :3 I hope at least a few of them will pass the test--nobody else has posted any of their character designs yet, so who knows?
