This will probably be my last update before I leave, because I only have 2 more full days left to get ready. I’ll be heading to a city called Livingston with my family on Friday morning. It’s about halfway to Houston, and we’re staying there for the night so that we won’t feel like we have to rush. Then, on Saturday we’ll drive to another town near Galveston, and go to the Kemah Boardwalk that night... The port’s not very far from there at all, so it’ll be easy to board the ship. ^_^
I keep forgetting to include this in my updates, but my uncle will also be going, so that’ll make 9 people overall. Also, my grandfather left earlier to fly to Virginia and pick up my cousin, Cameron, and they’ll both fly back here together sometime tomorrow.
As for packing… I’ve finally finished most of it, but I still have a few things left to do before I’m completely ready. There’s not much time left, so I’m really trying to hurry. XD It’s just hard when my mom has to work and I have to baby-sit my little brother! That’s basically all that I’ve done today. It was a little easier than usual because we rented Superman Returns for him, and that completely hypnotized him, lol. (He’s going through a Superman phase now… I‘ll miss you, Bob the Builder.)
So besides that, I haven’t really done anything today worth talking about, with the exception of watching the movie that I mentioned above. The last time that I saw it was when it was in theaters when Mel visited, so it brought back a lot of funny memories! It’s a really good movie… with catchy music. I have to admit that I probably enjoyed the Spiderman ones even more, but this one’s still very cool. I like how sweet Clark is. X3 Aww! The actor who plays him is so cute, too.
The only thing that bothers me about movies like this is how stupid some of the people can be--it’s just not realistic. I mean, how can they not tell that Clark is Superman, when the only thing that’s different about him is that he isn’t wearing glasses and his hair has a little… curl thing? XD His face, voice, height, and everything else is the same. It gets on my nerves! I guess that’s just how movies are, though, so it shouldn’t really bother me that much.
Anywaaay, I changed a couple of things on my deviantART account, as well as the layout for my Xanga. I’ll probably start updating it again every now and then, because Mel (my friend from England) just recently joined there. I told her that I had switched to LJ, but that was after she had already customized so many things on her Xanga, so she’s decided to stick with it for a while. XD Maybe later she’ll come to the light side and make an account here! It’s still going to be nice reading more about her life, nonetheless, so I won’t complain. Sometimes it can be hard to talk to her for long on messenger due to the time difference.
Also, one more thing--and it’s kind of random. I was talking to my mom yesterday about different art stuff, and I mentioned possibly getting Photoshop and a tablet sometime in the future. I’ve wanted Photoshop for a really long time, especially since Rindi and Erica both recommended it over PSP, and my cousin RJ (who is a professional photographer and uses a lot of image editing programs) said that it was good. He also suggested getting a tablet and some sort of Corel drawing/painting program to use for my artwork!
So, after telling my mom this, I kind of expected her reaction to be a little… er, unenthusiastic due to how much they cost, but she actually said that it sounded like a great idea for me to have them! ^__^ Since she has a new job and earns a lot of extra money, she said that we can get them one of these days. Eee, I can’t wait! I don’t know if it’s too late to ask for it for Christmas, but I can still look forward to having them sometime in the future. At least it’s a possibility. I’m just not really sure which kind of tablet and stuff to get; it’ll probably be an Intuos or whatever, but I still don’t know much about those and the sizes that would work best, so I need some help. I guess I’ll have to start asking people~

I might sneak on a hotel computer if either of ours provide internet access… who knows? I'll probably only have time to reply to comments, if anything. If only I had a new laptop like Ashley. XD *punches*
