I know I have not updated and there is a good reason behind it. My basketball team is literally eating me for lunch. They do not understand the concept of teamwork or teamplay. I know there are many of you in slackerville with whom I have had the opportunity to play or sort of sideline coach during my tenure at LSMSA. I need your advice or anything to help my girls get it. Or if you would tell me something that brought you together as a team when playing sports at the school.
I am truly desperate. I have literally tried to quit and was talked down by Miss Kitty Blalock and the office staff at the school.
I have players who walk off the sidelines to sit with their family during a game, threaten behind the teams back to quit, they don't listen to anything anyone says, the have a sense of entitlement to play because of their abilities. Yet these players with great abilities don't understand it is not about them but rather working as a team. I just want to be a good coach and feel as though I am failing miserably because they won't listen. What can I do different?
Other news for me is my mom is going to have surgery on her other shoulder. She did the samething to it as the other one. I feel so bad she still isn't better and it maybe another year and half before she is better. They think she may have messed her neck up as well. Just from falling she has torn both rotator cuffs and messed her neck up. Lovely!
