As if I missed 20 long posts in 2 days. If that. Fuck you all. Harvest Moon was awesome. The country is such a beautiful place, there're no tall buildings, save for grain elevators and water-towers. The festival site was right by these train tracks, which went over a bridge with no railing so one could jump to their death if one were so inclined to do so...o_O haha. It's just all so pretty. The music was so so, but it's a small festival? What d'ya expect? Broken Social Scene? NO BITCH 'CAUSE THEY'RE COMING ON THE 30TH!@!!!! hahaha, so stoked. (Sorry Laur...) anyways, yeah, so it was all beautiful. I liked some of the bands I stayed for. Some were unique and crazy and really friendly, like most people in attendance. The whole thing felt like a really laid back Folk Fest. You weren't obliged to do anything at all, but at the same time, no one looked the other way if you did. There were campfire jams all around, (people also just huddled there for warmth) and it was great! I remember meeting a few people whom I apparently knew. A guy I was talking with was really cool, and it turns out his Cousin was Fabian! The guy who threw the knife at my at Lucy's party. He also cooked the bad cookies. Hahaha, so yeah, it turns out we all kind of knew eachother pretty well. Oddly enough. HE'S SO COOL. and cute. AND HE WRITES POETRY SO WELL!!!! Like...wow! We went on this walk at like 3 in the morning and just walked down the train-tracks givin' some spoken word. And if ya weren't speakin' you were making the beat! It's so funny. And fun. I hadn't done it in forever. I did so much crazy stuff, but it didn't seem at all crazy at the time y'know? Like it was just such a relaxed enviroment that getting 3 boys in a giant barrel thingy and push it all the ways up a hill and onto a road (much like hampsters in a wheel) And then roll it down the hill again? THAT'S SO FUNNY. We could have been hit by a car hahaaha, ah well. But, honestly, looking back you can just say like "wow...that was out of control" and it's true. I had the most heavily philosophical conversations of my life out there, I only wish I were sober enough to remember the majority. One thing really stuck with me though, and I'm going to try to really work it into myself. My camping neighbour Mitch told me "my grandmother used to always tell me: you've got two ears and one mouth, so you should listen twice as much as you speak" and it's just like "..whoa." Maybe it hit me harder 'cause I was drunk, I don't know.
The weather was freakin' COLD. Just though I would emphasise on that. SO COLD.
Also, the ride out there was intriguing, 'cause the only person I really knew was Joe. And there were 5 people in the truck. (It had seats for everyone, but the two backseats were just really like stools situated on either side of the cab. So you had to sit facing one another because there was no leg room the other way. It FUCKIN' SUCKED. haha. Yep. I'm glad we didn't get lost.
I think a trip out to the country was just what I needed. Especially photography wise. I hope they're BEAUTIFUL. But I always hope that. I guess that's everything. Really...so, yeah...tootles.
