Animated shorts
Last minute I know, but I've just discoverd that the showing of the Oscar Nominated short films ends on Thursday. So i'm catching the 7:30 show TONIGHT at the E street theater downtown. Anybody interested can meet me there.
Edited to add: Well worth it if you can go and see it. The first film, Madagascar, Carnet de Voyage is a BEAUTIFULY animated short about a trip in Madagascar. Absouloutely visually stunning. Also a great visual treat is The Lost Thing done by Shaun Tan, who is also the author of the wordless graphic novel The Arrival. Admittedly the the rest of the selections were really good, rather than great, but definitely worth it if you can get down there Wed or Thursday.
