MORNING!?!
So i think the daylight savings change has messed with my clock as i know gain conciousness around 7 and get up about 8. Its not helped me get to work any earlier as i seem incapable (to my own frustraition) for getting ready in the subsequent 30mins. No mind.
To work is pretty cool at the moment, other than the random redundancies which are floating around. I think im safe to be honest, but its never a nice thing to have looming around the office. A few of my friends have 'got the phone call' by the looks of it and thats a shame. Not sure exactly how much im allowed to mention about it all though (i only know that the company made a press statement about 'small number of layoffs') so i'll not dwell. Being on the handheld team now is really cool cos I get much more of a change to have my voice taken notice of. There's loads of stuff in the design which was my dooing. lol. Guess that means i get to take some flak if its rubbish in the end. lol. And its also not making much difference as well, baring in mind I still get asked random console questions. Which is cool.
Spent a bit last night helping A work through some of his disertation issues. Some crazy bugs which we finally found so he should start making some decent progress now. Score one for Sy. Oh and i made a random tool called "The Floater" to aid in my understanding of crazy fixed point math. It just converts numbers between float and fixed but im finding it super useful, and Chris thought it was hilarious. lol. Why couldn't first party have done that??? I ask you indeed.
Went to dinner in Guildford over the weekend, and to the good old Squirrle. Sampled the delights of Guiness Red. Its alright. Had Calamari while i was out. Which was ace right until the last piece and it was basically an entire squid in batter. lol. I ate it non the less but it was a bit wierd having an entire squid shaped object. Also had a cool milkshake with mango and stuff in it. mmmMMmmmm.
Finally got around to booking my holidays off for christmas so i have ages. lol. What equates to an entire month off over the chrismas / new year period. Excellent. That should give me sufficient time to do whatever the hell I like. I should probably arrange some train tickets to get me to Hull soon aswell or it will cost me an arm and a leg and half a spleen. Not that i'd miss the spleen. Damn you random organ! *shakes fist*.
So i've been kinda obsessing over this one song over the last few days. Prelude to Raindrops in D Flat by Chopin. I'd been looking for it for ages but didn't know its name. I thought i'd found it in Beethovens Piano Sonnata No. 14 in C sharp minor, simply due to one section where it takes a pretty wierd transition between white and black notes...but now i've actually found the music, it's completely different so i dont know what the hell i was thinking. lol.
Anyway its 9 now so time to set off for work.
