Let's try this again, shall we?
We drove up to the house last night, expecting to bask quietly in the glory that is our new home. But the sellertemporary tenant had not finished moving out yet. He apparently wasn't there, but a peek in the front window told us that he either a) left us an atrocious mess or b) wasn't done yet. Since the key wasn't where he said he would leave it, we figured option b). Agent said that we would be out "Thursday pm", so he technically wasn't in the wrong. So we called it a night and went home.
We're going to try again tonight. We'll bring up the first load of boxes, then go hunt for a carpet cleaner. Then we will spend the next two days cleaning 1500 sq feet of carpet.
