The welcome wagon showed up after dark. I imagine moving into a new house and having people come to your door at night would be kind of scary, actually. Even if they brought casseroles, which they didn't. Anyway, this is Billy Caspian. We're considering him, Kate & I.
& we're crossing him off the list. He went in to nap on Kate's bed! Weirdo!
I'm sorry, Kate is watching TV, from her dining area, on an angle. Yay!
She rolled the wish to join the law enforcement. This is her co-worker, Hal Breckenridge.
Kate likes him.
& she learned that he's a great kisser!
This is the point where I say "RUN, Kate, RUN!!!" Flaming heart beds are never a good sign. Never.
The next morning she felt mysteriously nauseated. What could this mean!?
She realized she was pregnant coming out of the theatre and standing uncomfortably close to Flo Broke.
Ahhh. Single-motherhood.
I'm rather amazed by the waddle. It's epic.
She invited Hal over to tell him about his upcoming progeny. Her look, however, says to me, "is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
Kate: Hal. You may not have noticed, but I'm pregnant. And the baby I'm expecting is yours. /novella dramatics
Hal: *shocked*
Which reads: I hadn't noticed! Not at all! :0
Hal: Um yeah, good luck with that! :D
Well that looks tender and sweet. Less monkey-ish than making out on the couch in The Sims 2, and I think less construable as woohoo-ing.
In general, yes, they're easier to take care of, but it's still tough being pregnant.
I know. Disgusting. & she'd just gotten out of the bath, too.
I wish I could say it had been her waterbreaking, but alas, she was alerted to go to the hospital by pains.
It's a girl! Her name is Sylvia. I was just using in-game camera at this point... but her traits at birth were: Artistic & Genius. Her favorites are Classical, pancakes & green.
Hal went to the hospital with Kate and came home with her and the baby. :D This is useful because she needs to make more babies.
After some snuggling because she had no relationship with Sylvia.
Hal & Kate tried several times for baby before they met with success.
Kate is impatient for Hal to quit playing with Sylvia because she needs her diaper changed.
One in the womb, one in the crib.
It's time for Sylvia's birthday, and Kate wants to throw a party.
She invited everyone she knows, and evidently the word got around because most of these people are strangers.
I know I love to go to strange babies birthday parties. I do it all of the time.
Billy Caspian tried to make amends with hot dogs.
& this is Estelle Hello, one of my first CAS creations. I love her endlessly. I was hoping story progression would heap her with Don Lothario (her lover) babies or something, but alas.
Hal looking worried, Billy Caspian licking his plate, Kate's boss, George Dean, watching the television, Lee Chung enjoying Kate's guitar and Estelle Hello eating a plate of pancakes. It's obviously time to blow out some candles.
I think I prefer baby tossing to baby dropping, to be honest.

Kate had time to teach Sylvia how to walk before the new baby came.
When the labor pains set in, I didn't know if it was safe to leave Sylvia at home while Kate went to the hospital, so the baby was born at home.
Auugh. It's winking. o.O & a boy! His name is Harvard and he got Athletic automatically. I rolled some dice and he got light sleeper as his second trait. His favorites are custom music, hot dogs and grey. What a boy.
Kate was feeling stir crazy, so she hired a babysitter and went to see a movie. He wasn't great, but the kids survived.
That night, Hal stopped by in uniform. oh my. I wonder, did he bring the handcuffs? oh la la.
Obviously. She's pregnant again. And it's Harvard's birthday! I would love to grow up with Roxie Lin's evil stare over my shoulder. Yikes!
& the baby sitter showed up. Ha! Sylvia is in the background staring at the wall. She obviously doesn't want to share her xylophone.
She didn't have to for long, anyway. It's time for her birthday. All of these parties have been varying degrees of awesome, by the way.
Ahh, the sparkle dance, it's good times.
She rolled the third trait of Loner which I think fits quite nicely with her artistic genius.
& I gave her a little mini-makeover.
