IT'S SUNNY OUTSIDE!!!

Mar 29, 2003 14:14

I would just like to say that I love the sun. It just seems to put everybody in a good mood - especially when it's been raining for like a month straight. Did you know yesterday was the first day in the entire month of March that it did not rain? (it didn't always rain very much, usually just around 3:00, just in time for track practice to start)

Anyways, I haven't really done a whole lot this spring break like go to California, Florida, Hawaii or Mexico like some of my friends - just kinda hung around - but it has been very relaxing and pretty fun actually. Sunday I went to the coast with my family and my bestest friend Jenna was also there with her family and a few of her friends (they all go to McNary). I wasn't quite sure about it at first since they were all good friends, and I only knew Jen, but they were really cool and we had alot of fun. We went shopping at the outlets, went to go see Chicago one night, had dinner at Mo's (a must when you are at the beach) and every night we made it a point to go down to the pool and hot tub. Why? Because there was a golf tournament the same days we were at Salishan. A college boys golf tournament. There were a couple girls teams there too i guess, but there were ALOT of boys! And they all went down to the pool every single night from about 9:30-11, so we were there of course and made a couple new friends from Montana and Seattle. So that was my vacation for spring break. It wasn't somewhere nice and sunny, but atleast it didn't rain! Well, I got back from the beach on Wednesday and just hung around here the rest of the day. Thursday, Todd came over for a little while and we just hung out around the house - talked for a while and watched some Disney channel with the little sis. Then yesterday I woke up and it was sunny outside - made me very happy. So I called Michelle and her, Flynne and I went up to the baseball game at Sprague. It was a double header against Wilamette and they won both of them! Eddie had a home run in EACH game and Duane was really close to getting one in the second. It hit the fence, almost made it over! Perhaps the most exciting part of the day was when the girls and I were just sitting around watching the game and over walks Brad Flux! I was so excited. First I see Tyler and Ryan last friday at the lacrosse game, then I see Brad! So Michelle and I talked to him the entire second game. I guess Kyle and some friends from school went to Canada for spring break. why? to drink of course. It really makes me sad to hear all these things about Kyle and everything he does in Eugene. I feel like he has changed so much since this summer when we were together. Or maybe he hasn't changed at all and I just didn't want to see that he was like this. Whatever - his decisions, not mine. ANYWAYS - after the game, Michelle, Flynne and I went back to Michelles for a while to watch some TLC and then I went to a thing at Sarah's gym to watch her practice for Hawaii and watch my little neighbor Justin that I babysit. AH - it makes me jealous - those girls are amazing and she is going to have so much fun in Hawaii. Later that night, Todd came over again and he and I went down to keep Lori (Ben's mom) company for a while. She stopped by the other day and told us to come by sometime because she was by herself all week, so we did - I love Lori! Today is my catch up on homework/clean room/work on talent day. It's the middle of the afternoon and none of it has been accomplished yet! But Jenna is on her way over to help me choreograph my dance so hopefully that will all fall into place soon! Well I hope you all are having a great spring break! BYE
