Marriage thoughts

The ongoing gay marriage debate has largely struck me as a bit of a theoretical one. No, I don't like that there's laws on the books that say I can or can't do something that a hetrosexual couple can do, but ... well, on the other side of the coin, weddings are expensive things and really, it's a very expensive way to make a point

Weddings cost what you and your family decide to spend on them.

Our commitment ceremony cost less than $3000, including my dress (O already had a nice suit). It wasn't formal, but it was what we wanted, and our family and friends got to see us say nice things about each other and exchange jewellery.
