UNTIL IT's OUR TIME
Donghae silently cursed his body as he looks at the clock. 9:05 am.
They don’t have any schedule and that was rare these days. So now that he was being given the time to rest he hates it that his body just won’t cooperate.
He moved his body in a different position, trying to find a comfortable spot. But minutes already passed but he's still wide awake and the only thing he got was a scolding from his roommate making him no choice but to just leave the room.
He irritatedly stroll in the kitchen tying to find something to eat and ruffled his hair in frustration when he found nothing.
Too tired to cook, he just left the kitchen silently cursing no one in particular.
“Hyung you know it’s bad to curse right?” His heart almost stopped beating when he lifted his head and saw Siwon walking towards the 12th floor dorm.
“S-s siwon?” Donghae stuttered, mentally slapping himself for letting Siwon hear that, hoping that the other man won’t get offended by his cursing. Well he honestly had been doing everything to please the other guy, even accepting his offer to go to church when all the other members rejected him so he hope this won’t be bad for his record.
Siwon just flashed his oh so perfect smile making Donghae’s heart melt in a second. He then brought his strong lean arms to enrapture the other into a tight hug. Donghae gladly returned it, savoring each second, hoping he could just stay there forever as he inhaled the sweet scent of Siwon’s perfume sending him in perpetual bliss.
“I miss you hyung!”
You just don’t have any idea how much I miss you. “Yah same here” Donghae smiled keeping his thoughts to himself. “What are you doing here so early?”
“The usual of course.” Donghae smiled bitterly trying to ignore the sudden pain in his heart.
“Oh wait! It was your birthday yesterday right?! Oh I forgot to greet you! I’m really really sorry! Seriously I’m really sorry, you know .. schedules and stuffs. I didn’t even have time to visit here anymore. I’m really sorry Hae.” Siwon muttered, really guilty for forgetting such important event.
You know I could never be mad at you.“It’s okay, I understand.”
“Really?” Siwon asked still hesitant if he was forgiven.
“Really! Cmon Siwon, cheer up! The fact that you remembered it is enough. Better late than never right?” Donghae smiled making Siwon smile as well.
“What do you want for a gift then? Just tell me what you want and I’ll give it. Promise!”
You, I want you. Donghae just muttered in his head, knowing that Siwon can’t really give the only thing he has ever wanted all his life.
“Hae?”
“You know I’ll love anything from you right?” Donghae faked a smile hoping the other wouldn’t see the sadness in his heart. Which was really impossible, since Donghae’s orbs had always been so deep and expressive that it always mirrors what’s really inside him. And Siwon have always seen it, he’s not really sure how to explain what the others’ eyes are trying to scream to him so it always remained as a mystery. But no matter how, it’s like a magnet, drawing him closer, attracting him towards the younger soul, making him want to know more, but he just decided to shrug it off just like the other times because he wanna give his hyung his privacy.
So iInstead, he hugged the smaller man again, this time longer and just tight enough for them to feel the warmth and comfort both body is offering.
Siwon just keeps it to himself, but he always feels a wonderful warmth enrapturing him whenever his in Donghae’s arms, something that he never feels on anyone else’s. The warmth is so calm, so solemn, everything’s so peaceful, as if being in Donghae’s arms is the most rightest thing to do. It felt like his heart is at its home.
“You know you’re my most favorite hyung right?” Siwon murmured kissing Donghae’s locks as the other nod, fighting his tears as he savor the joy he feels in his heart.
“But don’t tell Heechul that okay?” Siwon laughed
“Don’t tell me what?” The two men broke the hug as they saw Heechul, still half asleep, come walking out of his room.
Siwon hurriedly went to Heechul hugging him from his back. “That you’re my favorite hyung” Siwon chuckled, but giving an assuring smile to Donghae.
“I know that already!” Siwon just laughed as he brought his lips to Heechul’s making Donghae’s heart crash into million pieces as he watch the couple went inside the room. The tears he had been fighting slowly escape from his eyes, but this time it was already mixed with sadness and pain.
“Aish! That good for nothing as-“
“Kyu..” Kyuhyun was cut as Donghae looked at him with tears in his eyes. He exhaled his anger as he slowly went to the older man to wipe away his tears as he looked at Donghae’s eyes. His heart breaks seeing pain in those beautiful orbs. “That ass hole! Who does he think he is to do this to you?!” Kyuhyun continued cursing Siwon making Donghae grab his face to stop him.
“Kyu.. please stop it. You know that it’s not his fault right.”
“Of course it’s not his fault! You always stand up for him after all the pain he has given you!” Kyuhyun started screaming in frustration.
“Ssh Kyu.. he might hear you, the others might hear you.”
“So what?! I’m sure he’s busy fucking Heechul hyung to hear us anyways!” Donghae just lowered his head. The truth does really hurt. “I- I’m going to bed” He was about to leave but Kyuhyun stopped him. “Fuck hyung why can’t you just forget that liar! That bitch! That..”
“Kyu!” Kyuhyun stopped but the anger still lurking in his body that he could run to Siwon and God knows what he could do to the other guy right now.
“And he’s not a liar… you know that he doesn’t remember anything. So it’s not his fault Kyu, so stop being angry with him.”
“Hell! He promised you that he’ll always love you and he’ll never forget you but just look at him right now, happy at someone else’ arms while letting you painfully wait for nothing!”
“It’s my decision to wait. So it’s my fault if I’m hurting okay.”
“Why do you even keep on protecting him?! It’s irritating! You’re making yourself look like a fool!”
Donghae just smiled as he let the tears fall on his face remembering the moments he had with Siwon, which was the only thing keeping him strong and going. Yah he knows he’s a fool, there are times when it bothers him as he think if it was better if he just didn’t remember anything from his past life, but then when he thinks that all of those lovely memories he had with Siwon would also be erased, he brushes the thoughts away because he knows to himself that this was better. He loves those moments too much that he’ll never replace it with anything else. “I know.. but I love him. And I’m willing to wait until he loves me again.”
“What if that never happens then?” Kyuhyun asked not looking at Donghae. He loves Donghae so much that he hates it that the other just won’t forget his past love and love him instead. He’ll never hurt Donghae like this, he’ll always make him happy. But that was just not enough.. because he was not Siwon.
Donghae smiled, a sincere smile, as he looks at the clouds outside the window, inhaling the strength he’ll need as he go on with his life because he knows that he’ll always choose one thing. “Then I guess I’ll just wait in our next life or the next?.. I don’t know, but I’ll wait until our time comes again.”
