K- bought me new speakers. They sound great.
Everclear just came up on shuffle. I remember how it sounded in 1995. Yothu Yindi takes me back to 1991. If I ever build a time machine it's gonna be powered by music. A TARDIS with quadraphonic sound, a time platform shaped like a disco dancefloor.

Scala & Kolacny Brothers
I discovered Scala & Kolacny Brothers last night. Holy moley. They are fantastic! How did I not hear any of this before? It's a criminal ignorance...
Scala is a Belgian girls' choir, and maybe it's corny but I have never fel so moved by If You Could Read My Mind (on their most recent album, One Winged Angel).

Last few days
On Saturday K- and I went to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. I guess everybody is going into that film with an eye to watch Ledger, Depp, Law and Farrell, but I most enjoyed the performances of Tom Waits, Peter Stormare (very minor role, but I liked seeing Constantine's Lucifer as a faux-FDR) and of course Christopher Plummer.

If there was more of this kind of thing, most of my female friends would be superhero fans.
Logically, somebody with the agility and proportional strength of a spider would be a talented dancer.
