So there is a marathon/fun run going on in Melbourne on the 1st of April.
http://www.runforthekids.com.au/r4k/ I've decided to run it - the big one, the 14.38km long one. The course is beautiful and it'll be a once in a year experience to cross the Bolte Bridge on foot. When I sign up, I'll be politely canvassing people for donations/sponsorship. All proceeds go to the Royal Children's Hospital, which I think you'll agree is a very worthwhile cause indeed.
I'm in training at the moment, every second day is training day, 6km jog/powerwalk around a nice open route in my area. On my days off I'll be doing my usual gym routine.
Oh, one more thing - since it's a fun run (the goal, of course, being to have fun) and to encourage sponsorship, I'll be running this dressed as Luffy from One Piece.
Hellyes!
