Soooo...yeah...yesterday night was the night Avenged Sevenfold concert in Milan...and I was there, oh, if I was there...
But let's start from the beginning...
Yesterday luck wasn't liking me and my friends and we had quite a bit of trouble getting to the venue...yep, traffic never fogives you, especially if you're trying to get to Milan after 6 pm...but we eventually got there!
We decided not to go in the middle of the crowd cause there were too many people already, so we went up were the seats were...of course none of us was sitting down during the concert....oh no...as soon as it started we stood and that's when the fun begin...I screamed, a lot...actually, at the end of the concert I had barely any voice left....but who cares, I saw Avenged Sevenfold and they were fucking awesome!
Of course they started with Nightmare...and the crowd went INSANE when the intro started...and I went insane when I spotted Syn on stage... I'm no crazy fan girl, but come on, I'm a woman and I've got eyes...and the guy is freaking hot....=)
Next they played Critical Acclaim, and that's one song I wasn't expecting at all...it was kinda weird and sad to hear The Rev's voice singing the song, knowing he wasn't there....well, in the flesh at least, cause as Matt said, "I know that little motherfucker is watching us right now" =)...
Next was Welcome to the Family...and what can I say? i love the song and it was another amazing moment...but the very best part was the following song...because as soon as Matt said "Beast and the Harlot" me and my friends went nuts...we love City of Evil and we love this song...and "Bat Country"...in fact, when Matt said "he who makes a beast out of himself"...well, that was when we really, really went crazy.... I mean, who could stay sane during Bat Country?
And then came the sad part, the one when the background changed from the Nightmare cover to The Rev's picture and they played So Far Away...I was in tears...I mean, the song is great, but so sad....whenever I hear "Plans of what our futures hold, foolish lies of growing old" I feel like crying...but it was beautiful, really....
Next...well, I don't remember the exact order from this moment (I'm actually not sure of anything after Beast and the Harlot)...I just remember that suddenly Afterlife started....now, Afterlife is my second favorite song of Avenged Sevenfold, but the solo is the best one in my opinion and I was dying to hear it played live...so that was an amazing moment...the whole song and the solo in particular.... and it was beautiful how everyone was singing The Rev's lines...
Oh, I think I forgot Buried Alive...great song, great, grea song and great Johnny Christ on this one...
Mmh...what else...oh, yeah...I'm not insane, I'm not insane, I'm not fucking insane....Almost Easy! Everyone was screaming and jumping on this one...yeah, me too...I think all my jumping and moving and screaming is quite obvious when you watch my videos... XD
And then came THAT moment, the one I was sure was not gonna come... I heard that particular sound...that one note, the first note of my number one favorite song by Avenged Sevenfold, that one song they haven't played in three years...yes, I'm talking about Seize the Day... that was the moment that made my night...Seize the Day is the very first Avenged Sevenfold song I listened to, the song that made me fall in love with these guys, the song that made me fall in love with Syn's solos...oh, the solo....too bad Syn was quite far from me, I have a video but you can't see him very well...but I saw him, and you can hear it....and it's unbelievable....I mean, every single solo was unbelievable, they all were unbelievable (yeah, Mike Portnoy too, he rules, The Rev would be so proud...)...
The final song...well, the perfect conclusion: Unholy Confessions...I was hoping they'd play Second Heartbeat, but I love Unholy Confessions just as much... perfect, just perfect...
So...yeah, I had fun...I loved every second of it...I knew they were good live, but I didn't think anyone could be this good...Matt's voice is amazing, it was just like listening to the record...they all have beautiful voices, I think, Zacky in particular....
