Mitchell is a main character in it who's WANTS to be Stefan Salvatore but... he's way more volatile. He's tried quitting human blood on and off since the 70's but it's framed kind of like a heroine addiction and he struggles constantly & keeps fucking up and killing people.

Oooh, but now I know which Mitchell you are talking about (and my life is immediately much happier!) *snort* He's the best parts of both Damon and Stefan. Sort of the way Damon's half being and half shying away from being right now. (I totally love layered / troubled characters)

Seriously, wouldn't he be all about them? S2 Damon&Stefan is pretty close to exactly the kind of vampires Mitchell has been dreaming about to be his BFFs. Damon is very Ivan-like (a vampire Mitchell is friends with in S2) and Stefan is everything Mitchell wants to be when he grows up.

*laughs* When he grows up. Yes, I can totally see the BFFness of it all. And really, that's about the only fandom that works as a convincing cross-over with TVD. (Although, I was trying to figure out a crossover with BtVS where the rings constituted as another kind of gypsy curse so that Buffy and co would be nice to them. Can't you imgaine Xander/Damon!!!?)
