random links and TVD thoughts
I have been searching madly for Nick/Lacroix the last 2 days. I blame my curious viewing of Being Human US and their similar maker/child vibe.

Quick thoughts about TVD:
* Vampires don't technically need to kill someone to turn (just drinking human blood will keep you from dying) while werewolves are triggered when they actually cause the demise of another person. So there's this ~original sin tied to werewolves; their existence is intrinsically linked with death. It's interesting that vampirism is something that was done to you while on some level werewolfism is something you do to YOURSELF. And since the ability to turn runs in the family, I'd be willing to bet that a good majority of werewolves turned on purpose without a Katherine or car accident to help it along.
* As much as Damon is tied up emotionally with Elena this season, it's easy to forget something: that Damon originally stopped eating people for HIS BROTHER. When he apologized for Lexi and promised to take on the Stefan diet for a bit, he drank animal blood for only an episode... but also went bagged blood from there on out (other than our hiccup in 1x15 post-Katherine revelation, though he still leaves the victims alive).
