I missed the TVD stream today, but at least I caught Misfits. wheeeeeeeeee.
Oh, the opening with the clocks is so lovely. I LOVE YOU FUTURE!SIMON AND EVERYTHING YOU CHOOSE TO BE. He is so obsessive compulsive. LOL "with your little clocks."

oh man, the opening shot of the new community service guy was hysterical, zipping up his outfit in the leg a la the first shot of Alisha. HEE.

Teleportation is pretty awesome, actually. I love how he has to be all aaaaaaaaah, head-twisty like Simon and the shapeshifter.

Oh, Alisha and Curtis, so passive aggressive. Poor Curtis is kind of being more a dick, but I think his bitchy reaction about stepping up to stop Grand Theft Auto Man is mostly about his angst that he couldn't save Ollie than really wanting to control Alisha or having no desire to help people.
"Maybe I fucked it up." / "No, it was me." Awww, poor babies. To be fair, it's the future fucking with both of you. The first time that Curtis saw himself with that woman in the future vision, and then lied about it to Alisha, I knew things were likely doomed.

He is TOTALLY going to bite it now, which would be so fucked up because then for the whole series we'd know when Present!Simon will die. And that key's totally going to end up in Present!Simon's hands, y/y?

Of course it's Simon who's like, 'um, so you can start rescuing us now?'

So, okay, I'm assuming this is how the time travel shit plays out:
Present!Simon eventually finds out that he was SuperHoodie and that he's the one who saved Alisha in this episode, by dying. Future!Simon left that key so all his information and timing will left for Present!Simon. Then Alisha dies a few years later (probably in Simon's arms!). So he goes back in time, does his shit, and then dies in her arms as fated.
In a way, Future!Simon doesn't really come back to change the future. He comes back to keep time from, like, BREAKING. By going back to die for Alisha here he is ensuring that they'll have those good years that they had. But he isn't actually stopping her from dying in the future. Because he won't be around to do so. (And if he stopped that from happening, he wouldn't have a reason to come back, and then THE BREAKING.)
So theirs is a ~tragic love. They both die young and (likely) in each other's arms-- just in a really weird order. heh.
