irreconcilable differences
I'm always interested in acquiring a new fandom to read fic in, because I like a lot of variety and what I want to read depends strongly on my mood. Thus, when I happened upon some Glee fic I thought I'd make myself at least watch 5 or so episodes. I thought: hell, I was actually IN show choir when I was 15.
This was probably a very bad idea.
See, I have this massive embarrassment squick. MASSIVE. Even if the characters aren't feeling humiliated, if I think they should be it's just as bad (or worse). I've gotten through 3 episodes this week by mostly:
1) shrieking and covering VLC Player with my fingers
2) sporadically muting the audio
3) prodigious use of fastfoward
I am still twitching at the thought, people. I AM HAVING FLASHBACKS.
This fandom is clearly made for braver men & women than I. I salute you!
