I've decided to use the massive amounts of time I will have this summer scouring charity shops and vintage markets (I <3 you proximity to London). I am the worst person in the world to attempt to dress myself, as I never know what I like, so I'm scouring the interweb for inpsiration.

Basically, people can defend the abstract concept of 'fashion' all they want but can't deny that the fashion industry gives minors money to become unhealthily underweight and get molested by photographers.
But really I should use these hostile environments as reasons as to why I should create my own world through my outfits, because a certain outfit totally puts you in a different place
Oh wow, that's SO TRUE, I never thought of it like that! That really is what style is all about... Speaking of which, since you seem to make a bunch of awesome style posts every now and again, I was wondering if you could point me to any style blogs I ought to be reading? I'm stuck in a bit of a clothing-rut at the moment.
Exams are killing, but second-hand shopping in London is wonderful. Make sure you end up in the vintage warehouses in Brick Lane.

Absolutely, THAT is what made me so angry, I think, because it's so easy to do, these girls CHOOSE to work don't they? They could say NO. Urgh, those attitudes show how either naive or amoral the people expressing them are. It's such an uber-capilatlist world, I think, with so much power at the top, so much of it abused, and all these little, anorexic girls desperate to be a part of it and doing anything for it, and thinking IT'S OK I'M NOT BEING EXPLOITED GUYS, because that's what's "acceptable". I love fashion so so much, but there's so much of the industry I detest.
The creating your own little world with was the only bit I disagreed with, actually! I kind of see what she means, but I get that feeling from TV and books and, when I can, travel. Fashion for me is like, I want to look amazing and have fun with my clothes and express myself, but I want to do that and get it out the way so I can go read XD
Aww, ta. Blogs blogs blogs... Your style seems waaay more indie than mine, but...

I'm still trying to find one that fits me more, and I don't read any of these regularly, just when I've got spare time. Most of my inspiration I get from TV, hence my Effy Stonem dip-dye dress and my Quinn Fabray white blouse.
I went to a WONDERFUL party last night which totally helped burn off some energy. I've promised my friend Becky we're going to Brick Lane, Portobello and Camden the day after my exams finish :)

Hmmm... I can't honestly say that I have any good blogs on my radar at the moment, but when I want to look at clothes I love flicking through this Finnish site about street style in Helsinki. So many people there dress so well.
