(no subject)
Is it me, or did May go by insanely fast? It's already the 22nd. :o
Maybe it's just because I spent several of those weekends busy. Especially the most recent one. :P
Hopefully June will go by fast. I somehow doubt it, since it will mostly be filled with "So, have you heard from your sister?" questions from the parents several times a week. (They couldn't figure out why I was laughing when they said they'd call my sister "only" once a week while she's in France. My twenty-eight year old sister. Who has lived in no less than three countries. Dear god.)
Four more months and we should start picking back up, call volume-wise. Which will be good, as it will mean more stuff to do. Which is bad, because it means dealing with more idiots on the phones. (And new trainees, god help us.)
I think I'm going to have to go grab something to eat. I'm hungry, and I won't be home for dinner for nearly 3 hours. Um...um...Yeah. They can live without me for a few minutes. Okay, back. Yay for snackies! (Okay, the waistline doesn't like them. Oh well.) It's this SnackMix cheddar stuff, which I bought by accident one time and is pretty good. It has pretzels. Who doesn't like pretzels?
I've been hungry for good garlic bread lately. It's surprisingly hard to find, really. Most is bland and rather greesey. I'm tempted to do a Gumby's order this weekend. Pokey sticks are like garlic bread, but cheesy too. They are also likely the inspiration for ambrosia. And not the weird jello wiggly kind like on Xena.
Speaking of Xena, someone mentioned the show in the "best cliffhanger" thread on EI. They were talking about the whole ice-cave-and-cross thing... I barely remember that. You know what I remember? The next episode. Is it lame of me that I still won't forgive them for killing Joxer? That remains the one character death on TV that I just cannot stand or see the other side of. I can even sort of rationalize the whole SGA-season-3 death thingy. But not poor Joxer...
Speaking of SGA, something my sis said while talking about one of her friends gave me an idea for a fun discussion for a SGA fanfic. She has a friend from Georgia (the country), and mentioned how wary the girl is about leftist politics, having grown up under the Soviets. Wouldn't that make for a fun arguement between Zelenka and Weir? Weir is very much a leftist sort...
Oh, and a random complaint: Why oh WHY do you have to release the S4 DVDs less than a week before the S5 premiere? That'll barely give me time to get caught up before I have to start bugging my parents to record S5 for me! :p (I set up their stupid DVD burner. They owe me that much, dammit.)
