Our Future 2011: Concert Report

Nov 08, 2011 23:16

Ok so I know there is like, one person on my f-list hoping for this. Everyone else feel free to ignore if you are 興味ない(not interested).

ok so, its not really a concert report so much as concert thoughts. So this weekend I went to my 2nd show of T&T's Our Future tour. Previously I went to the one in Fukuoka. This time it was the all-last at Hiroshima. Why was the all-last in Hiroshima? The world may never know, I just feel lucky that it was cause that meant it was in my neck of the woods for once....sorta. It was my friend Jessica's firs time to see them live, me having somehow spammed her into becoming a fan sometime in the past year (I actually sorta forget how that happened). We drove to Hiroshima and had plenty of time, so we got out the venue early so Jessica could do her goods shopping (I'd already bought mine in Fukuoka) and I could preorder the new single (just one for the rest I'll do the brick and mortar thing). When I'd gotten my FC seats they were tachi-mi (standing in the back like lame-o's) and I thought to myself, oh this will not do! So we bought new ones online before we went, and we ended up in the 2nd row of the 2nd floor. Not fabulous but no bad either. ALSOK Hall is pretty small just like the Sun Palace in Fukuoka was. I'd wager to say that its smaller than the Umeda Arts Theater that I love so well.  Right off, I was like.....Why didn't we get pom-poms in Fukuoka?! No fair! But I was glad to have them this time! And I had discovered that although I swear the penlight's battery was dead prior to this, it had magically started working again! This made me a very happy girl, because I never know what to do with my hands if I'm not holding a penlight.

So onto the boys! Well what can I say, they were amazing as always! They were rather high tension the whole night! I gotta say I lolled at the 3D movie at the beginning again, hardcore. I don't really like 3D, since I am already a glasses wearer. But I thought it was a fun creative idea anyway! And we got a suuuuper long hug right at the beginning (ie. Takki's face in Tsubasa's crotch basically). I think I'll mostly write down my recollections of the MC, because for some reason I don't recall what they said during Aishiteruze (also what is with them having the Tsubasa clone as the keyboardist with FiVe now? What happened to Ishigaki? Darn it I liked FiVe the way it was). The MC was definitely different from what they talked about in Fukuoka, which I appreciated. I'm glad they take the time to come up with different talking points! In Fukuoka they talked about getting drunk together after the previous concert earlier in the week in Kyushuu (was it Oita?). And Tsubasa made insinuation's about what happened after Takki walked his drunken ass back to his hotel room.

But this time they talked about their upcoming 10th anniversary and their Junior era. They talked about how they really never knew anything back then, and were always finding out about things via the newspaper. Takki was like, yeah, sometimes even when I was cast in dramas and I'd read about it in the paper and I'd be like 'Really?!'. At some point during this, FiVe was used as an example, about how apparently they are having more shows in November and December and until the staff put those dates up on the screen in the hall, FiVe apparently didn't know about them (To which Rikiya♥ said, can I get a notepad and write this down?). But T&T already did. So they said, it was the same way when we debuted. We found out that we were both going to solo debut by seeing it in the paper or on tv.

And here Takki does this cute little pantomime of reading the paper as says 'Really!?' To which Tsubasa comments that it sounds like Takki was happy about it. Wonderfully S Tsubasa was in fine form that show! And you know how he does, Takki gets really flustered and was like 'What? No its not like that at all!'
Tsu: No when you said 'Really?!' you sounded sort of happy.

And he proceeded to harass him about it for several more minutes, all punctuated with outbursts of 'Imai-san, no its not, Imai-san! Lets stop this kind of talk!'. Eventually they get around to being allowed to debut together, and talk about the different names that had been considered for their unit. It seems like there were a lot, but the two of them could barely remember any. It was really funny how they were both like 'There were so many like......ummmm.....what were they?'. They only two they could come up with were T2 and TwoMen. To that second one Tsubasa added 'But I'm kind of glad it wasn't that, its a little....'. But of course in the end they became Tackey & Tsubasa!

After this part a fan yelled out to ask about Tsubasa's birthday during a lull in conversation. He didn't really go into it too much, he gave the basic details (they went out to eat Chinese alone together and Takki bought him the big tv), but then he started talking about how Takki had rented out Tokyo dome last year, so maybe next year Tsubasa should rent the baseball stadium in Hiroshima. And they can have a game Takk v. The Hiroshima Carp.

And Takki says "What, just me? Versus the whole team?" To which Tsubasa replies "What you don't think you can do it? Ok well maybe your family can join you, (and here he names Takki's mum and sister to which Takki tells him not to use their names again)." But Takki tells him just his feelings will be ok, he doesn't have to do anything fancy.

But he more seriously says, he already has something in mind that he is thinking of giving Takki for his 30th birthday. So of course Takki wants to know what it is and so does the audience. "Ok, I'll give you one hint, its something there is only one of in this world."

To which I kid you not, after a moment of eeeeh-ing and pondering Takki replies something like "It's a house isn't it?"

You know, I've always thought Japanese people didn't really understand sarcasm, but Tsubasa clearly does because he appeared to kind of deadpanned a little and say "Yes, its a house" in that sort of 'Don't be stupid' way. And they bantered on about this for a little while longer but Tsubasa was not giving anything else away.

Although I can't remember how this fit in, they talked about their upcoming activities. Takki of course has Kakumei in January and Tsubasa talked about releasing the playzone DVD (and I'm pretty sure I heard him saying he'll do the play again next year). And he asks Takki if he has bought a copy.
Takki: Well ummmm....
Tsu: You haven't bought one have you!
Takki: I was thinking of buying it tomorrow! *guilty*
And Tsubasa proceeds to harangue him about not having bought it yet, asks if Takki needs to be given a copy. Takki of course, trying to say the right thing, says he wants to properly buy it. And Tsubasa replies that they are selling them outside, and he'd better do it.
Tsu: I'll sign it for you, wouldn't you like that?
Takki: You'll sign it?
Takki thinks this is pretty funny and laughs about receiving his partners autograph, and that he doesn't think they have done such a thing before.
Tsu: Should I sign it to: Hide~kun?
Takki: *blush* No uuuhhh, just Hideaki will be fine

After this Takki says they want to take a picture to remember the all-last. So they get 4-Yuu out with what I assume were both of their cameras and they crouch down on the edge of the stage to take a picture. Takki and Tsubasa both think its a good shot and they show the screen to the camera, but we didn't think it was good enough. And they allow us to bully them into taking another. For this one Tsubasa puts an arm around Takki's shoulder and Takki responds likewise, and they kinda leaned in and put their heads together (getting a big awww from the crowd). This time everyone yelled that it was a much better photograph.

But when they tried to proceed to the next song and the video of Tohouku everyone started asking them to talk some more. And they were like, what really? We can have talking or we can sing, which do you want? And we all replied that, of course, we wanted more of both. And Takki's like, no its one or the other which is it? Still the answer was both. They both laughed and proceeded on anyway, in good spirits.

Anooo, so, the rest of the songs went the same as the rest of the tour. Although let me just comment, that Diamond was SO HOT. But, and this has been my doom since the balance of my love shifted ever so slightly towards Tsu, I felt REALLY bad that I like....could not take my eyes off him. Like, I really do love Takki too, but during numbers like that....ummmm...yeah....dirstraction. But like during, say Kamen and some of the older dance numbers I was sucessfully able to watch them both. In those cases I really like seeing them move in unison together! And Imagine was hot too. Again. And as Jessica said, the good thing about that number is, when I'm like "DO IT AGAIN!" I can just, rewind. At least on that one.

Oh right for Takki's Kimagure JET, after coming to the 2nd floor to grace us with his improbably handsomeness, he went back on the stage with the two 4 Yuu boys again. And he was all like, since this is the all-last, lets change it up! What's your favorite T&T song? Ok, think about it. Are you ready?
Boys nod yes
Takki: OK, ready
Junior1: Venus
Takki: Diamond
Junior2: uuuh ummmm, uhhh......ARASHI!
*cue the music to 'Arashi'* For a second it appears like they are going to go with it and then Takki yells "Thats wrong!" and smacks Junior2 around a bit.
Takki: Ok ok, let's try it again. This time, who do you like
better Takki or Tsubasa? Ok, have you thought of your answer?Ok Let's go
Junior1: Takki
Takki: Tsubasa
Junior2: eeeeetoo, ummmm........ARASHI!
*cue the music again* This time they do bounce about and do the dance and get just about to the chorus before Takki is like "No! No! No!" and kicks Junior2 a bit. LOL good times in his ridiculous hot pink suit

Let's see at the end, Takki King of the Touching speech said his peice about how it was a great tour and they want to do it again next year for the anniversary, and they want to sing songs from Hatachi for the next tour. And then Tsubasa starts saying goodbye, and how its kind of lonely that its the last one. He is of course, doing the excessively blinking and starting and stopping way of speaking he always does when he is crying. And the crowd kinda awwwwww's when he goes to wipe his eyes a bit and he says, kinda peevish 'I'm NOT crying.' Of course we all awwww again because he totally is. They go off hand in hand and come back for the planned standard one encore, but of course that will most certainly not be enough!

So we call them back, and they're all like 'Well you need to call FiVe and the Juniors back too' so we chant for them to come out. And they sing again. I LOVE that they still sing Hito to Natsu in concert frequently, its one of my favorite songs! But we're not done yet and we keep chanting for more. T&T look at each other, grinning and tilting they're heads like....what shall we sing. And slowly they both raise their arms and make the Ai wa Takaramono hand gesture, and so that sing that one again too. FiVe come out to do the dance as well, which I LOVE because Rikiya does it so seriously! Its hilarious (Rikiya is a special favorite of mine can you tell? Its because he did that awesome thing for me and
murasaki_anna that one time). But then partway through the song, all the staff floods the stage and starts to do the dance as well, in PERFECT formation too! T&T are SO surprised. And at the end they were like "That was amazing! And they did the formations properly and everything!" Leans back to look at the backstage and yells "When did you practice that!?". At any time if they had gone back off stage during this last set we MIGHT have let them go, but they lingered too long after each number and gave us the chance to get going with the 'One More Song' chant again.
Tsu: ehhhh, still more. *grins at Takki* well ok......ummmm.....Venus!.........Crazy Rainbow! *FiVe starts to play Venus* Whichever is fine!

I can't remember exactly how many extra songs we got after the standard encore set, but I know it was at least five extra. Including encore versions of Venus and Yumemo. And then finally, when we were STILL chanting the boys decided to let the Juniors pick the last song. And bless their little hearts they remembered Tsu had promised us Crazy Rainbow! I do recall that was really the last one. They raise their clasped hands to us again, as we are STILL going crazy. And Takki leans over and gives Tsubasa a kiss on the hand, Tsubasa laughs but does not initially respond. But as they turn and are walking off stage he stops Takki, lets go of his hand and holds his hand back out to him so they have to thread their fingers together! SO adorable, and its like that they exit.

AHHHH They were Amazing! As usual! And I have sucesfully corrupted Jessica! Success! Next stop Kakumei in January! But I want to go agaaaaaain already! Anniversary tour can't come fast enough!

Oh also. At Fukuoka, Tsubasa came running back to the stage through the crowd after riding in the carts. And just as he was climbing back onto the stage I saw it! The hand on his ass! He totally got groped! And he totally turned around and gave the crowd this scandalized look too, so theres no way I was imagining it! HAHA you little tease, you seriously asked for that!
