Wow...quiet today. And now I have nothing to really do at work, having closed out the tax roll and waiting for the next year's roll work to come around. I know Baronlaw is on vacation and preciousjade is up to her elbows in code monkey manure, what is everyone else up to?
I am looking forward to this weekend. Friday night is dinner and movie with friends, Saturday is my monthly game with a lot of the same friends that I really enjoy. Tonight, Erik is coming over to start working on the new Star Wars LARP I am writing for CQ this year.
I am trying to decide if I want to work the San Jose Grand Prix again this year or if I just want to buy tickets and be able to sit and watch it. I enjoyed working it but it is literally ALL DAY standing up. No chairs allowed because you are too close to the track and it is not safe to just be sitting there. Gotta think about this more.
Been leveling up a rogue in WoW on the Draenor server so I can play more with my friends. I really like it. And Altra is leveling a priest. Works out fine. I kill things really quickly and she keeps me alive and we both get the xp. Mutually beneficial arrangement.
Going back to the dojo has been good. I plan on continuing this time. I enjoy being on the mat again, getting my stamina back up. I surprised myself on how much of it I remembered. I guess my brain and body really did learn it well over those first 2-3 years of training. Nice to know that it will be there if I ever need to use it. I might not be a black belt or anything but even a little knowledge can be helpful if I ever have to be in a bad situation.
