Tonight I went to Ruby Tuesday's and had dinner with Charles, my only (openly) gay friend here. I love him. I know him from church - he organized the gay pride service and such. He's really been a nice ally to have around this summer. We wanted to get together before I left, because we never get much time to talk at church. He wanted to know all about life at the tv station, so we dished on what all the anchors are like, whether the anchor he thinks is cute is really as cute in person, and the anchor who we are pretty sure is gay but is in the closet. We talked about a lot of other stuff too. He and his partner might be moving soon, but we want to keep in touch. It was fun. :)
