HORROR!
the United Way drive has started again at Wegmans. Today some management personal and myself were herded into the conference room. The intent was to brainwash us all with United Ways DVD full of good deeds done in the Rochester community. I prepared myself for the fifteen minutes full of tearful stories of how United Way saved a person's life/family/career. I prepared to be guilt tripped into signing away a portion of my paycheck to a mammoth of an organization.
Jim hit play; the DVD started to roll. Then it stopped and it wouldn't restart. Various managers tried to make it work. Ultimately that was a failure.

After work I visited the library for Two movies, a book on Bellmer, Baudelaire's 'Flowers of Evil', another documentary on Andy Warhol, and TWO books on the later. Very fulfilling, now I gaze at my plastic bags full of joy and feel cozy and fulfilled.
