Missed talking to Justin today. Makes me sad. Which is odd because after a day filled with frolic and insanity the night should be equally enjoyable. I miss him.
After Titus group, Daniella, Arpad and I met at the Greek festival. That’s the third time I've gone there this weekend. There was no band and no dancing. So there was nothing of interest except for tents filled with sweating bodies. Wound up in the basement at Java's playing pool, it was the only cool place in the city. Arpad won the game.
We passed through the Greek fest on the way to the Methodist church. (They were having some activities, and we wanted to 'crash' the party.) There was some youth activity on the lawn, so we snuck in the unguarded front door. The main sanctuary was locked, but Pad found a stairwell, so we took it. He also found a light-switch, but that's of less significance. The staircase ended, to our delight, on a balcony. The sanctuary was vast, with a rose window at the far corner, and organ pipes occupying most of the middle of the balcony. Little sunlight filtered through the stained-glass windows. Daniella was spots of red and blue. Every sound, every clunk or rustle, I expected to be a Methodist coming to expel us from their holy place in a fit of righteous anger.
Yes Mom, we snuck into a Methodist Cathedral.
For some reason, or maybe there was no reason, the Dryden sounded attractive. "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" played. That must be the most bizarrely inexplicable movie any of us had seen. It’s impossible to summarize because it’s difficult to comprehend. A painting couldn't succeed in being more surrealistic.
Greek fest AGAIN. Arpad and I had Greek coffee. It left a grainy feel in my mouth, so Daniella and I were inspired to drink CoffeeMate creamer. Two shots later and we'd discovered the Domino Sugar packets. Arpad has photo proof.
But I've missed Justin! I hope the crazy pictures make up for it...somehow I doubt that...
