up and down.

If life is like a road, then each of our lives must be a particular road. Mine is like Titus avenue in Irondequiot.

Titus Ave stretches from the Irondequiot bay to the river. Its most memorable features are the hills. That's the residential section of Titus ave. The rest of it is built up with shops, Claire's karate studio, and two gass stations.

When I was little and kourtney and I were in the van's backseat going down that bit, she insisted that we close our eyes and pretend we were on a rollercoaster. I was deathly afraid of roller coasters. The car slowly climbs up the hill, peeks, then races down into the valley hits the next hill and slows up.

Back when I was "studying" for my Psychology final I was chatting with Mom about disorders. The best way to learn is by teaching it to others. We went through all the immediate family member's names and tried to determine which psycological disorder they had. Actually, I tried, Mom listened and corrected me. Mom, I decided, has General Anxiety Disorder, that means she's worried about everything before durring and after the fact. Elliot, if anything, could be Schitsophrenic, but since he has downsyndrome he can't be anything. He already isn't normal. Claire's hard to determine. Stuart and Curtis are too young, although Curtis's monotone voice is a favourite feature to pick on. Dad, Mom decided, is a sociopath, because she has notions about him being anti social. I'd be bipolar.

I keep going up and down those hills. I'm waiting to get to the straight-away.

philosophizing, kourtney
