crikey.
just finished watching the amazing, spectacular, well-thought-out, addictive... (i could go on) BBC crime/scifi/drama Life on Mars.
2 seasons and 16 episodes later... what a show. what a show. and to think they even found time for character development in that short time frame. plus finish an entire story line to boot.
thought i'd be speechless, but as you can see... it's hard to really say anything about it, since if i recommend it to y'all, i wouldn't want to spoil any little tidbit about it.
let's just say it's all in the opening sequence to each show. police officer has bad day in current day, has accident, wakes up in 1973. simple enough concept, right? too bad, it doesn't end there. he has to figure out why he's there. as he asks, "am i mad, in a coma, or back in time?"
oh, and throw in a dash of biting british wit as well.
and just in case you haven't seen Pan's Labyrinth yet, do that too, dammit.
end transmission.
