ever had one of those movie moments that just blew you away?
i did. tonight.
new movie on the must-see list: Crash. no, not the psycho-sexual odd erotic car crash one. although if you get off on car crashes, that one might be good for you. i'm talking about the one that came out last April.
solid, emotional, incredibly written. damn. it's amazing how much racial tension can be written into just 1 hour and 52 minutes of movie time. and not just the typical black/white relationships either. let's just say that nothing is left out here. wow. and the way each and every scene tied into the one directly before or after is also most impressive. this is one of those movies that no matter who watches it, they'll take something with them when they leave. i'd say this is one of those that should be required viewing for any sort of racial sensitivity class, or hell, just in general for the public. maybe then people would be able to remove the sticks from their collective asses and get the frick along. everything's tied together for a reason. like they say, we're all in this mess together.
on another note, another must-see, in my opinion: Serenity. a fun, witty, intelligent space-western. how can you go wrong?
