Star Wars and J.J. Abrams

Reports are saying J.J. Abrams will direct Episode 7. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I was hoping for Brad Bird (despite the fact that he wasn't going to do it... *sobs*), but really, I was unsure about who could direct this. Yep, glowing rocks that did pretty much what you expect glowing rocks to do

I figured as much. XD

lolwhut? Wait, don't answer. It sounds vaguely familiar in a very ominous way.

Well, you know what to google for if you're interested! XD Honestly, Del Rey has done more damage to the Star Wars universe than anyone! Every time the prequels would prove something from the EU wrong, Del Rey would retcon it back into truth. They seemed more concerned with having a single continuity than making sure that continuity made sense! Gah!

Yeah, it does. :) I just hope no one dies in this film. T_T

Well, if the sequels showcase a New Republic, then Luke, Han and Leia are likely to be on Coruscant surrounded by new and shiny things...well, except for the Falcon! XD Really, that fact that things were 'new' and 'shiny' didn't bother me. I can see the sense of that. It was the fact that sometimes, it felt like CGI. Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't, but it sometimes gave off the sense of being CGI (especially the Naboo ships). That was one of the few problems I had with the PT.

Also the fact that every movie had it's own set of ships, whereas the OT had the main characters stick to one ship each (Luke - X-wing, Han - Falcon) while still introducing new ships and such.
