Is it Autumn Yet?
This summer has been one for the record books and as far as I'm concerned, those records can be consigned somewhere in the rings of Hell, because that's how hot it's been here! Temperatures finally broke but still no rain.
I do have a few friends here who write prose, poetry and short fiction. This is a new press and they currently have an open submission call for an anthology. I know nothing about them so caveat emptor. Here's the link to HAUNTED WATERS PRESS
My writing continues. I have three novels currently on submission through my agent and I'm polishing three more to get ready for submission. Then it's back to work to finish up the final book in my Faerie trilogy.

Dear Government, get the hell out of business!!!!
The National Labor Relation Board sues Boeing because the aircraft manufacturer wants to build a new plant in a right-to-work state? Really?!? And people wonder why US jobs are shipped overseas?
How about the vendetta against Gibson Guitars wherein federal agents raided the company's factory and confiscated millions of dollars worth of wood because it was imported illegally? But wait, if the company imported that wood ALREADY MANUFACTURED IN INDIA with frets, etc, it WOULD BE legal? Really?!? Let's put MORE Americans on unemployment and ruin an American icon.
And this one hit a little closer to home. A set of plans for the expansion of a business building and park (said expansion creating NEW jobs in that business while also providing existing companies, vendors, and contractors with NEW WORK so they don't have to lay off employees) was rejected by the city planner's office. The plans weren't turned down because of zoning restrictions. Or lack of permits. Or anything that made any sense. Oh no. The plans were rejected because the fricking existing trees on the property were NOT DRAWN TO FRICKING SCALE!!!!!!!!!!!! Every tree, bush, plant, and landscaping feature was shown on the plans, including the Latin and common names! But the trees, bushes, and plants WEREN'T DRAWN TO SCALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY?!?????? I mean fucking really?!?!?!?
