Lookit me spamming LJ whoohoo! LOL
I apparently hate washing dishes SO MUCH that I will do ANY other household chore to procrastinate the dishes, except possibly cleaning toilets. I'm pretty sure I'd wash the dishes to procrastinate cleaning toilets. :P But the past couple of days I've been trying to get the house in order, so when we invite people over I won't have to panic and run about throwing things in closets to make the place presentable! And since the other day I ran across a Good Housekeeping article online about how long to keep cosmetic stuff, I figured it'd be a good time to clean out my plethora of plastic boxes full of girly accumulations. (I used to be quite proud of the fact that I didn't have a lot of "product" for myself - well, now I do have a bit, having turned girly, but there was way too much stuff that I never use anymore stuck away under the counter. Including in one cardboard box leftover from moving in a year ago...) I managed to find my cosmetic pencil-sharpener, too, which pleases me. :3 And now I have all my little bottles of lotion in one spot so I can find them to put them in my purse!
One thing I didn't know was that nail polish should be replaced every two years - several of my polishes are older than that, including the clear polish I've been using as a base coat. Maybe that's why my polish chips so badly! I am keeping some of the three-year-old stuff, as I make sure to shake it up and use it from time to time, and it hasn't gotten too thick to use yet. My current experiment is to use my quick-drying supposedly-non-chipping top coat as a base as well, as my bright red nails start peeling! I want to see if the new stuff keeps it in good condition for longer, as I go about my household chores. We'll see how they do cleaning fish tanks... yet another task I've been procrastinating. ^_^;
