My cousin, Sharon, came to visit over the weekend with sweet little Cassady. It's hard to believe that Cassady will be two years old this Sunday.

I found out earlier this week that my cousin, Jim, has bladder cancer. Based on what I've heard from his younger sister, Sharon, it's not an easily treatable cancer and the prospects for survival are not considered good. She's read 2-3 years. My cousin's baby, Cassady Viola, arrived Friday at 4:44PM. She weighed in at 4 pounds, 14 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. No red on top but her hair is an odd shade of light brown so we are not sure what color her locks may turn out to be ( Read more... )

I will be leaving soon for Gulfport for the weekend. I will take plenty of pictures of the bonny wee lassie when she finally arrives. I plan to post some when I return to regular internets access on Sunday.

My cousin just called me. Her doctors have decided to induce labor tomorrow morning. It's pretty weird to think of my little cousin being a mommy!

I am currently planning a baby shower for my beloved cousin. I decided to make this event as easy as possible and go with a catered event at a small hotel near my house. I am going to Ocean Springs, MS tomorrow to visit my cousin. She is now 7 months pregnant and she and her baby girl are doing very well. It will be a weekend filled with silliness and lots of family gossip. Juannie and the pups shall have to manage without me for one night. I plan to be home Sunday afternoon in time to take a nap.
