[Spoiler (click to open)]Okay, so Rosalie's household of craziness makes me anxious! Holy baby boom, batman! I do actually feel bad for her because she clearly needs help but she has done it to herself. She should be insisting that Bruce help and she should be letting her parents help as well but that is just not her way.
Poor Shirley. I hope that when the sixties roll around she gets to go out and find some employment. Or at least she can get a job when she's an elder. I can see her really liking that. Oooh, great idea Alice. Shirley should adopt! I'd love to see that happen.
It's so nice to see the main house calm and happy! *hugs Alice* I don't think Nick would voluntarily leave you again dear. It cost him too much the first time around. LOL at their TV being nicer that Rosalie's and at James liking soap operas. He totally would!
Oh boy...you know in all of your drabbles I never guessed that Bruce would be the one with simmunist leanings. It definitely makes sense (and honestly I'm glad it is that and not him cheating on Rosalie). This is not going to end well for anyone though.
Great update! I can't wait to see what happens next!
Reply! [Reply] I love the name you gave Rosalie’s house, because it really is just that. I can’t believe I decided to let ACR determine the number of kids they’d have. You are spot-on when you say she’s done it to herself, because that is the truth. This is what she wanted (or thought she did anyway). She should be accepting offers of help or insisting that her husband help. But as you said, that’s not her way.
Yeah, Shirley’s having a tough time of it. The taste of what could be during the war has made going back into the role of housewife very hard for her. I’ll have to see how things play out, but I can totally see her eventually working again, and she would be so much happier. Shirley’s thinking about Alice’s adoption idea, and you’ll see her decision in the next chapter.
Heh, main house calm and happy. Who’d have thought? No, Nick wouldn’t voluntarily go anywhere again, but Alice has her moments of irrationality just like the rest of us. Yup, time to start worrying about keeping up with the Jones (or the Thornes in this case). Yeah, James would totally get addicted to soap operas.
That makes me wonder who you thought might be accused of being a Simmunist. Yeah, if he were cheating on Rosalie Taddy would end him, totally, with James and Sterling aiding and abetting. Sadly, it’s not going to cause a lot of issues for a lot of people.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I honestly wasn't sure who it was at all. I knew it wasn't main house because I couldn't see Nick being a Simmunist but I wasn't sure which cousin's house it might be. I think I briefly thought that it was Clarence at one point just because he's been putting on appearances in other ways but I wasn't convinced that it was him.

Ah, I was just curious. It's always interesting to hear what other people's theories are.
