in the springtime of a new year
Yesterday was my birthday. I spent it doing things simply because I wanted to, consciously letting go of any judgment that might otherwise apply, and merely enjoyed each passing moment as I lived through it.
It was a good day. :)
Today (right now, before and after writing this post) I am working on a draft of a section for a grant proposal that I will be discussing via conference call in an hour and a half. I'm okay with that, too. Perhaps especially because I am typing this while sitting out on the back patio, watching Talia explore the yard, nibble on dandelions and green grass, and bask in the sun.
The little things matter. Today is a good day, too.
