[Talia update: here in week 3 of the projected month, she's doing absolutely great. Onward!]
Wikipedia tells me that the Fimbulwinter is three winters in succession without a summer. After looking out my window, at all kinds of pictures from Tennessee, and at news from New England/the Northeast, here's hoping that this isn't just the start of a trend....
(Seriously, Bostonites, is there a magical wardrobe around there somewhere? Or any sign of House Stark? Did the Dark come rising? Because YIKES. Much love and hopeful sunlight to you all.)
I'm intermittently online from home these evenings due to a few computer challenges - namely, how hard it is to type on my current laptop in general as it's going through some system challenges right now, sigh, plus it's even harder than it used to be with cat ensconced. Until I can get a better working setup, I have chosen to address this in part by immersing myself in Dragon Age: Origins and now Dragon Age II. I am really enjoying the DA universe -- and am still unspoiled for major storyline events in DAII and in Inquisition, just so you know! Anyway, it's a lot of fun. Next up after DA-everything will be the Mass Effect game series.
(That said, I will be tagging back various places soon-ish. It's mostly AIM and real-time stuff that suffers.)
It seems like there should be more to an update than that, but not really at the moment. Things with my family continue to be thing-like; I guess right now I'm basically working on finding and maintaining some sort of status quo.
I'll aim to be more entertaining soon. Perhaps a book report or linkspam will do to start. :)
