inching along on a Monday
First things first: today's project report!
5487 / 50000 words. 11% done!
I keep telling myself this will go faster when I'm not revising and looking up sources as I go. It has to. In the meantime, it's still the most concerted regular progress I've made on this project in a while, which definitely counts for something.
Tonight's random background TV noise is Twilight. I actually own a copy of this movie, thanks to a used DVD sale at the local Blockbuster quite a while back. Let me just say that it makes an interesting counterpoint to the work I'm doing....
Anyway. In lieu (once again) of meaningful use content, have an icon meme! This one I spotted by way of in_the_blue and alemara. (BTW, readers, if I ever cite your journal on LJ and you prefer DW, or vice versa, please do let me know and I'll gladly change it and make a note for the future!)
For purposes of this meme, I'm linking images from LJ, but will report stats for both sites.

DO YOUR ICONS MAKE A STATEMENT: Not as such on their own, but in the context of when I use them (i.e. which icon I choose to use with which comment or post), yes.
WHAT FANDOM DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: At a quick glance, it looks like Twin Peaks.
AND THE SECOND MOST: Supernatural, with Firefly a very close third, I think.
WHAT SHIP DO YOU HAVE THE MOST ICONS OF: I don't have much in the way of actual shippy icons. In fact, I think the only actual 'ship icon I have as such is one of Evie Carnahan/Rick O'Donnell, from The Mummy.
ARE YOUR ICONS MADE MOSTLY BY OTHER PEOPLE: Yes.
DO YOU MAKE ICONS: Yes.
ARE THEY ANY GOOD: They're okay.
ANIMATED ICONS ARE: Not my favorite. I only have the one, largely because it's my only DW icon and I can't be bothered to change it out. Eventually I'll get another DW icon or two.
