I am still far too incoherent to process all the OW from this episode, but I feel that I must note one thing.
So I think most if not all of you know that I am Episcopalian, right? Tonight, in that religious tradition, is Maundy Thursday.
The service ends with an overnight vigil designed to mark the events of the Garden of Gethsemane, which was a place of desperate prayer before the time of greatest trial, when Christ was "overwhelmed with sorrow unto the point of death" and pleading that "if it be possible, let this cup pass from me."
I would not put it past Kripke to have scheduled the airing of this episode deliberately.
Also, one small plea? As I've mentioned
before, I am very spoiler avoidant. And again, as I've said before, it's completely my responsibility to not read spoilers. I recognize that, and am fine with it.
Still, if you're going to be mentioning in passing in review posts things that are "known" to be coming up in a remaining episode along with things that have just aired?
Just remember that there are those of us that don't know that. :)
(FWIW, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular. This just happened to occur three separate times tonight in three different people's posts without any warnings before I gave up reading post-episode reviews entirely, so I thought I'd mention it. Thanks!)
