Judging by the amount of activity and discussion on my flist, there's something intriguing going on in the promos and/or casting news being released for Season 5 of Supernatural. How exciting!
At the same time, since there are a few new folk around here these days and it's been a while since I reminded everyone, now seems like a good opportunity.
I am very spoiler avoidant, y'all. Seriously. I will speculate all day long, theorize and try to predict and discuss and wonder and flail with great glee or augh or both over episodes as they come out, but as for actual knowledge that comes out in advance?
My approach there is to emulate the ostrich. I don't know, and 99% of the time I don't want to know - I like being surprised, especially when it's a show that I'm this far gone over.
(I do watch promos and "next week" previews, but that's about my limit. I haven't seen the ones for S5 yet, because I'm still trying to find the best route to them without accidentally tripping over spoiler discussion, but eventually I will!)
This isn't meant to be a slap at anyone, by the way. For one thing, it's my own responsibility to stay clear, and I'm fine with that. For another, I haven't had any problems! People have been very good about not spoiling me for things, whether it's using cut-tags or whitetext or circumspect comments, or whatever, and I thank you all for it. This is just a gentle reminder and a note for those who might not be aware, that's all.
So when you hear that news that makes you go "OMG OMG OMG I can't believe it Aspen have you heard???"
No. I haven't. And I like it that way. :)
