[FFXI]Preparing for war
I'm always up to my random adventures.. not always documenting them with haste however. I've seem to slack more on that lately but that is normal for me it seems.
Easiest way is to work backwards... but it doesn't really matter.
Since WotG is out the aspect of invading and protecting is pretty common - in the past. So I was through offguard when this random stranger asked for my assistance in taking over windurst.
I'm always too polite in some situations.
At least they weren't asking for a powerlevel for once.
I've finally got into doing some assaults (mainly due to Alynda's help on getting me done all my PSC ones). So I finally got my one promotion. Private First Class! Closer to the IS items I want! A nice shield for bst and rdm. :D
I was also able to grab a merit point out of one of the assault repeats.
In the area of dragoon I managed to grab a few levels.
Leveled with some interesting characters in the Mire... which gets old really quickly. Limited use of weapon skills and JA's makes for really boring melee xp. The last few k before 71 took forever as well... its as if they knew I had something to look forward to.
After dinging I was able to pick up my polearm pretty fast and get that wsnm out of the way:

Alynda also helped with Apocalypse Nigh (along with Mary and friends). We were so much better than my last group that tried the BC - the whm never casted anything on Alynda and they died, and the melee didn't go all out on the kid thus we killed neither brother.
So good we got the record, and I finally got my earring! Just in time for a new expansion!

I helpped with a few of Alynda's random wsnm's as well. Both with points and the actual NMs. One for Steel Cyclone, and another visit to Mr. Scorpion for Savage Blade. Surprise, surprise, we found RMT back behind the Altepa gate killing placeholders for the antica NM.
I got into the crafting thing again. Powered out my woodworking to a solid 69 - making a profit!
I finally got a buyer for the cloud evoker I accidentally got months ago. Unfortunately my price was a tad low for what it was actually worth- I probably would've got 500k if it wasn't for Finale wiping for Ouyru. But I put the 300k to good work as what was intended for the gil. Ni!
They had a pretty awesome event on. Finally got some shades without leveling a craft!
They do make me want to sing that song "I wear my sunglasses at night~" due to them having one of the most hilarious stats (for ffxi logic at least).
Another grand achievement is that I FINALLY got my rutters to drop. 1/8 or something silly like that - no more tank farming and no more pop items taking up my inventory. Randomly some samurai was in zone looking for help so we agreed. He made things more difficult.. getting aggro along with dying. As well, for once.. the gate was up... so we had to run back and get firesand too. It all worked out in the end at least. (boots didn't drop for sam but that isn't important). Yay for Nale's thf (Alynda).
Beastmaster had some complications due to my connection problems along with power outages and so forth... but! We got 70, and run into the ferry bug... except for me. The only one out of several people to ride the ship.
Apparently Alynda and I keep busy. After finals are over expect some WotG adventures!
