It's beautiful outside. Sunny and even quite warm, considering that it is February. Matt's in his journo lecture so I took the opportunity to come up to the computer labs and do some surfing, although I do have to get off my lazy butt and write something for Non-Fiction and Fiction. It's not that I don't want to do the work, because I love writing and I really, really enjoy the workshops - it's just that I'm completely not inspired. :( I started on some fiction the other day, it's about domestic violence. It started out OK but I feel kind of weird writing about such a dramatic and horrifying subject when I have no real personal experience of it. I'm worried that I'll either over-dramatise it or that I may trivialize it, neither of which I want to do. I'll figure it out somehow though. I always do.
I bought Matt the Cave In CD for Valentines. It's the latest one, titled Antenna. And it rocks! We listened to it in the car last night when we were driving around, and I was really impressed. I think I may have to dig it out for myself as well. :)
It was a great Valentine's weekend. I didn't see Matt on Saturday itself but we went out yesterday. He bought me Thorntons chocolates and a really beautiful card, although I would have been happy just with his company, I love him so much. Every moment we spend together is special. But I'll cut the Valentine's happy soppy mush now and become normal again. :)
Here's a nice picture to describe my mood today.
Don't they just look yummy? I linked the image to my new poetry site so just click the picture if you want to take a look.
