freaky english ending.

overview:
spanish - nothing too special, really.
journalism - nothing too special, worked on hoa.
lunch - worked on hoa.
math - nothing too special. uh, went to the bathroom during this class for the first time? a lot of classwork. tried to work on more hoa. talked to stephen! [he was sitting on the back table with a leg sticking straight out. "what are you doing?" "waiting for chen to walk back." into his foot, i'm assuming.] talked to brett at the very end! [theater people - have a great time in NY! i'll miss you!]
english - now this class was interesting. i had a lot of fun in it, actually. we did a pratice english SOL and it was alright. i missed a dumb question, though, because i marked it down but thought it over and changed it to the wrong option. no fun. i tried to get through it ASAP so i could work on the reading pt. 3. we went over the SOL which took FOR-EV-ER because the sub was. slow. and didn't know our names. and was identifying us either by the color of the clothing we were wearing or by our clothing as well as the color. and occasionally - or was it just emilie? - ID-ing us by our position. example: "okay... the lady wearing black with her back to me." [except for howard. she knew his name. huh.] i never got called on. thank goodness the class as a whole - but i think malice instigated it, perhaps - sped up the rather painful process.
beth was pestering me about my middle name. hehehe. she'll never know!
i liked amrit's green shoes! green's such a great color. and it makes me happy. :)
suddenly there's an announcement. what? ...we. were. in. lockdown.
but then they said it was just a drill. ...hah, yeah RIGHT! mr. arnold came into our classroom many minutes after the announcement and asked us to raise our hands in the air.
i was freaking out. what is this?! what are we doing this for?! i don't have [or own!] a gun!!
after he left i was the tiniest bit panicky. seriously, were we in danger?
and then they never actually told us what happened. thanks.
[though, malice was informing us that it had something to do with the fire alarm. it sprays ink on you if you pull it, apparently. wow now that i think about it, it sounds like some sort of demented squid thing. creepy. and messy. ew.]
after school - NHS meeting, where we talked about money [donating it for the tsunami relief effort, which is a great cause. i'm not exactly sure how we're doing it, but i don't think we, as a whole, know yet] and took yearbook pictures! fun fun. i was next to david wille and... some... girl? i think? it could've been a guy. i don't remember. but holly was in front of me, i remember that.
drove the cutest guy @ gcm home. just kidding it was just bill. it was so cute, he played his real/bought shania twain CD and then some other country one, i think. he kept switching between country stations and stuff. so fun.

before today, i've only ever experienced one lockdown and that was in middle school. and wasn't a real lockdown. it was a drill and no one really cared. but this one - yeah, this one freaked me out some. i think people need to DESIST and somehow restrain themselves from doing dumb things, such as pulling the fire alarm - when there's no fire.

Q: if you could take a class field trip to anywhere (any class you've ever been a student of in your life) which class, to where, and why?

Q: what's the best field trip you've ever been on?

^ this question made me think of the DARE air show in 5th grade. that was fun. fond memories of that and especially of the bus ride back to school. okay, brett and i were talking about this. it's seriously the bus rides that you remember and have great times and fun memories to look back on. well, the trip itself too, of course. but still. charter buses... so fun. :) ah those field trips for orchestra. those were classic (so getting gypped out of the last one i'd ever go on was cheap. i'm talking about freshman year, when orchestra was supposed to go to new york but superintendent daniel domomenech cancelled all trips... to new york specifically! thanks. jeez. harsh).
