One thing I heard multiple times when I decided to make the move up to the Bay Area was how nice the weather was. 70 degrees year round! What I failed to realize is that doesn't always apply farther down the peninsula, but yet we also don't have a/c units like the rest of the area

I don't mind it so much; I grew up with 100+ summers. But no place has an A/C up here... so there's no escape! Luckily, the temp has cooled down. :)

When I lived in Madison it was the first time I'd ever lived without A/C. I soon discovered that I become an evil raging bitch without air conditioning. I just can't *stand* getting too hot. And forget about sleeping! Blech. I ended up buying a window unit and just lived in my bedroom for most of the summer.

I hope that your weather cools down soon!

Heh, the days it was super hot when I got home, I just kind of laid on the couch watching dvds, drinking beer because it was the only ice cold beverage available, haha.

Luckily, its cooled down-- back to sweaters!
