Every once in awhile, I get it in my head that one artist did some song and nothing will disuade me until I actually see the real one singing it. Such is the case with "Mad World" that I first heard during the movie Donnie Darko. For the longest time, I seriously thought it was Elliott Smith. Anytime anyone heard the song and asked me, that's what I would tell them. Now I feel like an ass 'cause it's actually Gary Jules.
But then! I found out that Tears For Fears had originally written the song. Holy Crap! There's nothing like watching Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal dancing to depressing music.
