Rolling along, like stone.

Somehow I survived the four different tasks laid out for me on the first day of May, ie today. Sometimes I have to wonder how it all came together but I finished a final exam, a two-page layout spread in InDesign (as well as writing the article for it) and did two Flash slide shows and got them uploaded to the MURL website nearly two hours before the deadline.

I took a short final exam in Women's Personal Defense but honestly the class evaluations took longer than the actual test. Now there's nothing more to do for the class, and I wish I could have said my goodbyes to everyone but I was rushed to move on to my next assignment.

My essay style article on Christian Sarcophaguses turned out fairly well. If it had just been an essay or article then I would have been done with the 1700+ word assignment days ago, but I opted for four pages in Indesign in the form of two page spreads. It took a bit of time to design the layout, place the article and add pictures and captions. It could always been improved but everyone seems to like that particular design and layout.

Finally I finished two slide shows in Flash for MURL. I honestly thought the slide show with audio would be harder than the one without audio, and man was I wrong. Other than taking about an hour or less to edit the audio, the slide show itself was pretty short and I was able to finish it in a little over two hours. The slide show that I did without audio took about three or four hours to finish, including the research I did online.

Unfortunately I can't rest yet. Even though I only have one real final and study week is here, I have several assignments due over the break, including a surprise one for MURL and my last one for Publishing to the Web.

Right now I"m going to sleep, I've forgotten what a good night's rest is like...
