Chrono Trigger and the Plague Dogs

The barbecue at my cousin's house went well enough. We actually got to the cookout at a decent time without getting lost on the way there. The food was good and we stayed outside until it started to rain. When it did rain we packed up the food and brought it inside. I found a cozy spot on the couch away from all of the heavy traffic in the kitchen. I ended up watching Friday on TV while playing Pokémon Diamond on my DS. I also saw a bit of Superman Returns and I'll definitely have to rent that movie and see the rest of it someday. We got home from the barbecue around 10 and it was a relaxing day overall.

I went to sleep and woke up around 2am. While browsing LJ communities I happened to come across a nice "for sale" item in girl_gamers. It was the original Chrono Trigger game for the SNES in working condition. It was a "Buy Now" option and no one else snagged it yet. So I agonized over it for about a half an hour and caved in to make the purchase. Considering that Chrono Trigger can go in excess of $100 on Ebay at times, getting it for $35 wasn't a bad deal. I can't wait until the game is here and I can test it out. I've never played Chrono Trigger on anything outside of my SNES rom on my computer.

When I got up this morning I watched The Plague Dogs uncut on Youtube. The ending is a bit different from the novel but the movie is really moving and powerful. Even the 1980's animation is nice enough to put some of today's digital work to shame. If anyone's interested in seeing The Plague Dogs uncut, the movie is still up on Youtube. Thanks to silverspitfire for the link!

I'm also doing another double shift at UPS, so it's going to be a long night. I hope I can wake up in time tomorrow to do those chores that I have been putting off for a while now.
