Spring break!

Spring break is finally here! I'm going to try to relax and enjoy myself to the fullest for the week. Although it doesn't help that I only have Monday off from work, but I'll make the best of it. After this week at school any break from classes is a good break. A three day weekend (shame it couldn't have been four) is always a plus. So how did things go? I had mixed results.

The design for journalists midterm itself seemed easy enough. It's implementation in class was so bad that the professor later apologized to us via e-mail. She tried out of those repeating test systems where every other person has either an A or B exam, each one being slightly different (in our class A just did an essay first and B took multiple choice first). The system can work, but usually in classes with 30 students or less. In our class the class had about 80 people in it and there was lots of confusion. So much in fact that it took twenty minutes of test time just to distribute the damned exams. The exam itself wasn't too bad, except for the fact that the multiple choice was printed out on very small power point slides (usually 6 to a page). That made the questions extremely hard to read and I ended up getting a headache from the effort. In fact, the essay took a shorter amount of time to complete than the multiple choice and the multiple choice was easier. For a design class, this class could use a logical redesign!

I did e-mail my article for the story by the end of yesterday's deadline. I actually pushed that deadline to the very limit and didn't e-mail the article until almost midnight. It would have been sooner but Temple's server went down just as I hit the send button. So the e-mail didn't go through and I had to rush to send it off via my gmail account. No word as if yet about revisions and clarification. I know it will be needed since I wrote the article going on very little sleep and still was unable to sleep after sending it off.

As for this week, I do have homework but it shouldn't be too hard. My main concern right now is finishing my FAFSA form before this weekend is out. I actually have all of my tax return stuff done as well as my mothers.

Speaking of taxes, I'm actually getting a decent return this year. Huzzah.

And I got my ass whipped in Bleach GC as Aizen by Byakuya. Note to self, go with Ichigo next time.
