If Labor Day was a mixed bag, then yesterday was pretty terrible. There were a few highlights, but all in all, I'd rather not repeat such a day. All of the sunny weather we had on Monday left just as quickly as it came. So, the rain returned, and at times seemed worse than the passing remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto. There was more water in

And I do know at Adult Swim they have some hot Bleach wallpaper up now. http://www.adultswim.com/downloads/index.html
And this may be my next wallpaper, once I get tired of this dark themed one. http://i.adultswim.com/adultswim/downloads/tools/img/wallpaper/bleach/800_2.jpg

And yay! *Grins, sparkles* You finally get to watch it! I suppose then, that the dub will become your standard... I really don't like it, as their original voices add important subtlties to their characters the dub just can't imitate IMO. Don't worry, Miaka's annoyingness only gets worse. ^_~ We'll have to talk more as you watch more...

:D Well, I'm mixed on the dub. I really like some voices (especially Hotohori), and I really hate some others. I just felt like watching something in English for a change. I think once I get to disc 2, I'll switch over to Japanese and see how I like it. Miaka may get more annoying, but hopefully her Japanese VA won't be as bad as her English one. Yes, I'll let you know what I think as I watch more of it. ;) Though looking up some stuff, I'm glad I was right about the four gods (Dragon, Phoenix, Turtle and Tiger.) ^^

*laughs* Especially Hotohori's? Because of my attachment to him, his was my worst disappointment! I suppose after listening to it awhile it's okay, but really it's nothing compared to what Koyasu does. I think Miaka being annoying is universal... language barriers don't help one way or the other. x_x It is nice to watch something in English now and then, and actually see what's going on without having to read subtitles. So you had read up on the mythology beforehand? ^^ I've enjoyed pointing out the actual constellations to friends before too. ;)

Well, in that case maybe I'll be impressed with his Japanese VA. I kind of like his English VA, because he reminds me of someone else who did another anime I liked. ^^; Hmm... In that case, maybe I'll switch back and forth between the languages, to get a sense of everyone. Though that is one advantage English has over subs. I do remember in a few shows I had to pause and go back, because I couldn't read the titles fast enough. X_x
Well, I'm only vaugely familiar with the Chinese Zodiac and the four Gods. It was another anime that I saw years ago that prompted me to do some research. So whenever I hear the four Gods, they always seem to be a tiger, a phoenix, a dragon and a turtle. ^^ Though I might have to research the constellations down the road, I'm not familiar with the stars. ^^;

Well, some cast members are good, others just suck. Though I'm suprised to learn that some of their roles are better with other series. Ie, the English VA for Miaka also does KOS-MOS in the Xenosaga series (minus episode 2). She makes a good KOS-MOS, but a crappy Miaka. XD
I dunno, I can name off a few good English versions of anime stuff. Rahxephon, Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Puni Puni Poemy, Samurai Champloo, Noir, Excel Saga, Full Metal Panic!, Fullmetal Alchemist, Guyver and the list goes on. Though as a general rule the Japanese version is usually more enjoyable. ^^;;;
